From June 11 to 13, the 18th SNEC International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Exhibition—one of the world’s largest and most influential solar events—was held in Shanghai. The event attracted over 500,000 professionals and more than 3,500 leading enterprises from 95 countries and regions.
Against the backdrop of an accelerating global energy transition and deepening carbon neutrality targets, integrated solar-plus-storage solutions have become a cornerstone of the future energy architecture. Lead Intelligent Equipment (hereafter referred to as LEAD), a global leader in intelligent manufacturing solutions for the new energy industry, debuted its latest full-scope PV and energy storage smart manufacturing solutions under the theme “PV + Storage Integration: Shaping the Future of Manufacturing.” The showcase demonstrated LEAD’s deep technological expertise and innovative capabilities across both sectors.
Driving the Next Generation of PV Manufacturing
Since entering the solar industry, LEAD has consistently positioned itself as a pioneer in next-generation PV manufacturing technologies. At SNEC 2025, the company unveiled a series of breakthrough innovations, setting a new benchmark for high-efficiency solar production.
In the PV module segment, LEAD introduced a series of fully integrated production lines featuring high throughput, efficiency, compatibility, and reliability. Several of these solutions were named to the SNEC “Top 10 Highlights” list, including:
- Mass-Production 0BB Stringer Solution
Powered by industry-leading printing technology with glue height uniformity of just 0.02 mm, the system delivers a throughput of up to 11,000 half-cells per hour while reducing annual maintenance and operating costs by 20%.
- XBC Stringer Solution
Equipped with a proprietary anti-warping welding mechanism, the system effectively addresses the challenges of single-sided cell welding. With a throughput of 6,800 half-cells per hour and a 99% string yield, it reduces energy consumption by over 60% and maintains cell warpage below 2 mm. To date, it has secured orders totaling more than 30 GW.
- Universal Ultra-High-Speed Stringer Solution
Featuring non-stop auto-feeding and a linear motor-driven pick-and-place mechanism, the line supports a production capacity of over 12,000 half-cells per hour—significantly enhancing efficiency for module manufacturers.
In the solar cell sector, LEAD’s end-to-end solutions also attracted significant attention:
- Perovskite Solar Cell Production Line
The solution integrates a comprehensive suite of equipment, including plasma cleaning, annealing, VCD crystallization, coating, ALD, and magnetron sputtering. Three versions of LEAD’s perovskite coaters were on display—lab-scale, pilot-scale, and mass-production models. The production model supports coating dimensions up to 1200 × 2400 mm, laying a strong foundation for large-scale commercialization.
- TOPCon 3.0 Smart Factory Solution
Designed for mass production, the system achieves conversion efficiencies of up to 26.5%. When combined with LEAD’s automation equipment across key process steps, the solution enables fully unmanned PV manufacturing—helping global customers accelerate production deployment.
Scaling Up Storage: A New Blueprint for Energy
Beyond its leadership in PV manufacturing, LEAD is strategically expanding into next-generation energy storage with a forward-looking vision. The company offers a fully self-developed, IP-owned, end-to-end solution that spans the entire value chain—from cell manufacturing and battery assembly to testing and module-to-PACK integration.
LEAD’s large-scale energy storage battery assembly line delivers industry-leading performance through:
- Integrated process design for streamlined operations
- Energy-saving and consumption-reduction measures across the line
- Production capacity exceeding the industry average by over 15%
- Line yield rate of 5%
- Continuous production efficiency of 85%
These capabilities provide a high-performance, cost-effective foundation for the large-scale commercialization of energy storage systems.
At the exhibition, LEAD also unveiled its next-generation energy storage container solution, compatible with both CTP and MTP processes. The system is characterized by high automation, flexibility, precision, and broad applicability. It integrates AGV-based logistics, 3D+AI vision systems for accurate positioning and quality control, intelligent dispensing combined with fly-cam inspection, and digital twin process simulation for optimized planning and execution. Together, these technologies enable full-process intelligent assembly—from cells to modules, packs, and final containerization—marking a significant advancement in automated, scalable energy storage manufacturing. This launch brings renewed momentum to the global energy storage market.
As the global energy transition gains momentum, LEAD continues to push the boundaries of intelligent manufacturing through ongoing technological innovation. At SNEC 2025, the company showcased not only its advanced engineering capabilities but also its long-term commitment to the future of solar and energy storage.
During the show, LEAD was recognized with multiple honors, including:
- Global Top 100 New Energy ESG Companies
- Global Energy Brand Top 10
- Industry Contribution Award
These awards—jointly presented by the Global Green Energy Council, Asia-Pacific New Energy Association, and Asian PV Industry Association—underscore the company’s growing global influence in the clean energy sector.
